I think that working on a math research project would be a great way to spend my junior and senior year. Although I am passionate about math and excited about the prospect of doing a research project, I am apprehensive about applying. This summer I took a university statistics course but I have not taken calculus yet or any math courses beyond calculus. I am concerned that this will prevent me from succeeding in mathematical research. Any thoughts?
